JUNIORS
The 2011 BSAWA Junior Coaching Program will be held over two semesters, from February to June and from August to October. The program aims to provide a pathway for juniors from beginners to the elite level and into the senior ranks. All sessions will be conducted under the supervision of accredited coaches, with assistance from other volunteers. Sessions are held on Saturday mornings from 10am at the Pot Black Family Pool & Snooker Centre, 464 Fitzgerald St North Perth. Two hours of structured coaching will be provided, and the players will be welcome to free play for an additional hour until 1pm. In the first semester, coaching sessions will be alternated with age division state championships, culminating in the team selection for the Australian Junior Teams Challenge. For the second semester, a structured league will be held to further develop the skills from the coaching sessions into actual match play. You will find further information on the schedule below. The head coach for the program is Gordon Whittaker, Assistant State Director of Coaching. Any queries should be directed Adam Wyard, Executive Director, by email to executive@snookerwa.org.au or on 0412 387 469. Schedule Semester 1
